ArmInfo. Armenian Agriculture Minister Ignatiy Arakelyan on February 7 received Ambassador of the Netherlands to Armenia Johannes Dauman.
According to the press service of the Agriculture Ministry, Minister Arakelyan highly appreciated the cooperation between the two countries in the field of agriculture. Then the minister presented the program of agricultural development of Armenia, noting that the priority areas are the development of livestock, the creation of centers for processing agricultural raw materials, the establishment of milk processing enterprises. Stressing that investments and modern technologies are needed to achieve high results, Minister Ignaty Arakelyan suggested that the Dutch side study the possibility of attracting investments in these areas.
To make Armenia attractive to potential Dutch investors, the minister also attached great importance to raising awareness about our country.
The sides also referred to the exchange of experience of Dutch specialists in the establishment of a training and testing center in Armenia.
Stressing the importance of bilateral cooperation, especially in the field of milk production and processing, the parties reached a preliminary agreement on a thorough analysis of the local dairy market to introduce potential Dutch investors to start business projects in Armenia.
