ArmInfo. The State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition of the Republic of Armenia (SCPEC) informs that as a result of an investigation commissioned by the Commission in the television advertising market it was revealed that Ucom is promoting its new service called the "revolutionary offer", within which the company offers fixed communication to subscribers to use the service mobile communication <Universal>.
"Listing the terms of connection to the package, the company in no way informs its subscribers about one key condition that the service can be used only in the case of a two-year subscription. In addition, the advertisement presents a group of people with posters on one of which with white letters on a green background the following expression is written: "Green - yes, the rest - (chayo) is not yes", informs SCPEC.
According to the experts of the Commission, the inscription in the advertisement not only does not provide full information about the service, but also misleads the public and can damage the reputation or rating of the business entity.
Considering the above mentioned circumstances, the Commission in the administrative case will consider a possible violation by Ucom of the Law of RA, in particular from the point of view of positioning unfair competition.
<The Commission again urges economic entities to provide consumers with reliable and complete information about the products or services offered,> the SCPEC official report says.
