ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan met with the French delegation led by Mayor of Lyon Georges Kepenekian.
The Prime Minister highly assessed the level of cooperation between Armenia and France. In this regard, he expressed satisfaction with the effective cooperation between Yerevan and Lyon. He also expressed the hope that the visit of the mayor will contribute to the activation of the inflow of French investments into the Armenian economy. Karapetyan stated that favorable conditions have been created for foreign investors in Armenia, they can enjoy the privileges of the RA preferential regime with the EAEU and Iran. He also expressed the hope that the Lyon businessmen will take part in the business forum in Yerevan within the framework of the Francophonie summit. According to the prime minister, an additional stimulus for cooperation will be the opening in April of a direct air service between Yerevan and Lyon.
Kepenekian said that Lyon is ready to intensify cooperation with Yerevan, and a multi-sphere program on cooperation between cities for 2018-20 was discussed at a meeting with the capital's mayor Taron Margaryan.
The delegation of Lyon discussed the issues of cooperation with the Minister of Health of Armenia, Levon Altunian as well.
