ArmInfo. The micro-business of Armenia needs to be exempted from taxes. This opinion was expressed in an interview with ArmInfo by the economist, the head of the research center "Alternative" Tatul Manaseryan.
He stressed that after the adoption of the Tax Code, additional changes were made to the document, based on the interests of the small business of Armenia. "This should be objectively accepted," the economist noted. However, in this vein T. Manaseryan pointed out the problems associated with the micro business. "It is necessary to convince the government and to free the microbusiness from taxes, undoubtedly, keeping under constant control their activities. The scanty amount of taxes coming in today from the microbusiness is completely incomparable with the effect that GDP can receive with full exemption of the subjects of this sphere from taxes. And then, it will be possible to talk about the change in the share of SMEs in the GDP structure - from 28-29% to 40%, "he explained.
In this context, the expert stressed the importance of constant monitoring of the micro business. "When a micro enterprise grows into a small business, then I think it is necessary to establish tax incentives, and with the increase in volumes and the transition to the medium-sized business category, it is already introduced into the general tax field." In addition to being flexible and competent policy, applying an individual approach, The issue of training this specialization is acute, "he concluded.
