According to statistics, in the reported period of 2018, the volume of services in the areas of organizing accommodation for tourists and catering accelerated y-o-y growth from 18.8% to 29%, culture - from 15.2% to 34.5%, health care - from 16.3% to 26.9%, real estate - from 8.1% to 11.3%, information and communication - from 3.4% to 7%, administrative and support activities - from 7.2% to 19.9%, professional, scientific and technical activities - from 0.8% to 21.6%. The volume of services in the field of transport and the financial sector (incl. Insurance), on the contrary, slowed y-o-y growth from 14.9% to 12.9% and from 20.4% to 17.7%, respectively.
According to statistical data, the financial sector is traditionally leading in terms of the volume of services provided - 234.5 billion drams (21.5% of the total). The second place in terms of services is occupied by the fields of culture, entertainment and recreation - 234.4 billion drams (21.4% of the total). The field of information and communication holds the 3rd place - 159.2 billion drams (14.6%), the transport is the 4th - 142.1 billion drams (13%). The public catering and organization of tourist accommodation is the5th, which provided services for 88.3 billion drams (8.1%).
The average exchange rate of the dram against the US dollar in August 2018 was 482.43 dr./$ 1, and in January-August - 482.01 dr./$ 1, against 478.61 dr./$ 1 in August 2017 and 483.13 dr ./$ 1 in January- August 2017
