ArmInfo. About $ 40 million was invested in the construction of the first "green" Class A business center in Armenia. The head of the Kamar Business Center and the head of Prodeco Artashes Kazhetsyan reported to the Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during the recent presentation of this building.
It is symbolic that the Prime Minister came to the presentation of the green business center by bicycle, thus, by personal example, urging those present to transfer from cars to environmentally friendly transport. He was met by the Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia Artur Javadyan, a member of the Ameria Group, a well-known Russian entrepreneur and philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan, employees of Ameriabank and representatives of tenants of the business center.
According to Kazakhetsyan, today almost 85-90% of the area of the center "Kamar" has already been leased. Among the tenants are the British Embassy and other diplomatic missions, the Asian Development Bank, the head offices of the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine and the Philip-Maurice Company, the Rosgosstrakh Armenia insurance company, and the Gastropolis restaurant. But the largest area of the Business Center was occupied by the head office of Ameriabank together with its central branch "Kamar". In total, he said, the number of legal entities renting at the Kamar Center already exceeds 800, and the center has 40 personnel. He recalled that the Business Center "Kamar" opened its doors to those who want to move into a comfortable building equipped with the latest technology, from April 2018.
Having made a historical excursion into the creation of the project of the Kamar Business Center, Kazakhhetsyan told how modern architects, retaining the old historic facade of black tuff with elements of Armenian architecture, the works of architects such as Michael Ohanjanyan (1910 project - Erivan branch of Tiflis Bank), Nikolai Buniatyan (the project of 1926 - Agricultural Bank) and Alexander Tamanyan (the idea of building the Agricultural Bank belongs to him), inscribed it in a modern style, giving a new breath and erecting a 9-storey complex with 2 odzemnymi floors for parking.
The central entrance to the building is framed on the facade by a blind archway, in which there is a tree of metal, embodying life and power. Outside, the idea of forged wood on the glass entrance door of the Center was proposed by famous sculptor David Yerevantsi, but the author of this architectural move is Honored Architect Ruben Asratyan. The green wall on the 1st floor of the Center "Kamar" is the highest in the world - 20 meters, with a total area of 160 square meters, from which live garlands of ampelous plants hang on the sides, which naturally provides the necessary humidity. Each floor has a dining room, a seating area and separate booths for a telephone conversation, and the work rooms are designed for maximum daylight use. Ameriabank depository cells are located on the underground floor of the Kamar Center, the Amarabank's Kamar branch is located on the first floor, and the Ameriabank premium class customer service hall is located on the first floor. The design of each floor in its concept demonstrates how successfully the architects managed to combine elements of the architecture of old Yerevan, an industrial downtown, an ecological city, and a modern innovative technological image.
The capsule in the foundation of the multifunctional complex "Kamar" was laid on November 6, 2014. ZAO Property Development Company (Prodeco - Property Development Company) embarked on this project with great responsibility. Completed the construction of the building by 2018. The first "A" class green business center in Armenia - "Kamar" meets all international environmental and energy saving standards and will serve as a stimulus for the development of standards for building commercial business centers in the country. The Business Center "Kamar" was awarded the certificate BREEAM (Method of environmental assessment of the effectiveness of buildings) - one of the world leaders in the assessment and classification of environmentally sustainable buildings.
