ArmInfo."The activity in the real estate market of Armenia has been observed for a little over a year, in particular, the special revival has been more noticeable  over the past 8 months," said Marina Norayrovna Chatinyan, director  of the real estate agency "Bars". "Using the example of the agency's  activities, we can say that the growth in the number of real estate  purchase and sale transactions has increased by 15%," she said.

The expert associates positive changes in the domestic real estate  market, partly with trends in the global economy, which later led to  economic stabilization in Armenia. However, if in the summer from the  point of view of buying real estate in Armenia, the Russian diaspora  was more active, particularly during the crisis period, this time the  Western Armenians were more active and interested.  In connection  with the changes associated with the latest political events in  Armenia, M. Chatinyan noted that several emotional purchases were  made. However, the expert does not share the optimism about the new  global construction: "Although I would like to," she said. The  director of the agency explained that the situation will become  clearer when a certain time passes, the situation in the country  stabilizes, the government will move from words to concrete actions,  which will certainly lead to an increase in interest in real estate,  including commercial.

At the same time, the expert noted that the statement of Prime  Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the growth of real estate prices in  Armenia by 25% negative will affect the overall market situation. 

The expert expressed the hope that the situation in the country is  still stabilizing, which will lead to the activation of construction,  in particular, there will be new legislative initiatives and tax  breaks for developers and investors. Meanwhile, according to the RA Statistical Committee, the average  market value of a multi-apartment building in Yerevan increased in  August 2018 by 10% per annum, reaching 287.7 thousand drams / 1 sq.   M. in the regions of Armenia, in August 2018, the cost increased by  9.2% per annum, amounting to 88.9 thousand drams / 1 sq. m.

In August 2018, 1,090 transactions on the sale and purchase of  apartments in multi-apartment buildings were carried out in Yerevan,  which is 21.6% more than a year ago. In general, in the republic in  the reporting period, transactions on the purchase and sale of  apartments in apartment buildings were carried out at 1,619, with an  annual growth of 19.5%. Of these, 529 transactions were concluded on  the sale of apartments in the regions of Armenia, which is more than  a year ago 15.3%.
