ArmInfo. There was organized corruption in the State Real Estate Cadastre Committee, but we did everything to eliminate it. This statement was made during the press conference on November 27 by the Chairman of the State Committee of the Real Estate Cadastre of the Republic of Armenia Sarhat Petrosyan.
"Naturally, we cannot completely eliminate it, due to its systemic nature, but the ongoing reforms are gradually eliminating any corruption manifestations," he said.
In particular, S. Petrosyan said that recently there were 23 cases of violations, the cases for which were sent to law enforcement agencies. According to him, we are talking about large sums and former high-ranking officials involved in these matters. The damage to the state, according to preliminary data, is estimated at $ 2-3 million.
The head of the State Department did not publish the names of the persons involved in the case, citing law enforcement agencies that are authorized in this matter and should give an appropriate assessment.
