ArmInfo. In the first 11 months of 2018, the metallurgical industry of Armenia reduced production by 22.6% per annum, against 11.4% growth in the same period of 2017. The data of the RA Statistical Committee testify to this.
In January-November 2018, ferromolybdenum production increased by 7.6% compared to the same period of the previous year, amounting to 6,563 tons. In November alone 819 tons ferromolybdenum was produced, which is 8% more than the October volume.
Production of molybdenum concentrate in January-November 2018 increased by 0.8% per annum - to 10,209 tons, and in November alone, a decline of 14.2% was recorded - to 863 tons. Converter (rough) copper production declined in January-November by 18.5% per annum - to 8,831 tons. Copper concentrate production declined in January-November by 25.9% per annum - to 291.7 thousand tons, but in November alone the production volume amounted to 17.6 thousand tons, with a monthly decline of 35.1%.
The production of aluminum foil in January-November amounted to 26,714 tons with a y-o-y decline of 12%, but in November alone the volume dropped by 8.9% to 2,004 tons. The output of aluminum rolled products in January-November amounted to 156 tons, which is 71.2% lower than the same period last year. Production of steel pipes fell in January-November by 1.9% per annum - to 9,651 tons, and in November alone- by 12.1% to 782 tons.
The production of zinc concentrate increased in January-November by 18.2% per annum - to 10,110 tons, of which only 325 tons fell in November, with a monthly decline of 68.5%. All metals produced in Armenia are mainly exported to Europe and the USA.
