ArmInfo.Nearly 4 billion drams were sent in 2018 to implement 216 priority programs in the communities of Armenia. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development.
According to the source, funds allocated from the government reserve fund were used to modernize and build water supply and sewage systems, irrigate, repair educational and medical institutions, build and rehabilitate roads, solve environmental problems, and purchase agricultural equipment. The deadline for the implementation of the planned work is scheduled for December 20, 2019. In addition, to address the priorities for the implementation of 24 programs, regional administrations were provided with 317 million drams. Of this number of programs, 23 have already been completed. Unlike in previous years, in 2018, programs were carried out and implemented on the basis of design estimates provided by the country's communities. In respect of a number of communities, the programs were implemented on the terms of co- financing by the RA Government. At the same time, the size of the financing was in the range of 5-50%, based on the capacity of local government budgets.
