ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan notes positive changes in the socio-economic situation of the citizens of the republic. He stated this on March 19 at a meeting with journalists.
According to the Prime Minister, the new government of Armenia has achieved that about 85 thousand citizens of the country have increased social benefits. More than 200 thousand citizens began to receive higher wages as a result of new adjustments in the framework of the mandatory pension system .
In February 2019 compared with February 2018, the number of mortgage loans increased by 100%, and the mortgage lending portfolio by 30%. In addition, retail sales increased by 19%. "Is this not an indicator of the improvement of the socio-economic situation of the citizens of Armenia?" He asked. At the same time, as the head of government pointed out, every citizen of the country must become a full participant in the economic revolution. For this, the government is doing everything to stimulate labor. As part of the planned changes to the current Tax Code, individual taxi drivers will be exempt from all types of taxes, as well as microentrepreneurs with a y-o-y turnover of less than 24 million drams. In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers is working to reduce the interest rates on loans, making them more accessible. For this purpose, as Pashinyan pointed out, he conducted negotiations with European partners in order to attract more favorable credit resources to the country. In general, Nikol Pashinyan expressed confidence that despite the pessimistic forecasts of a number of "well-wishers", if parliamentary elections had taken place today, the pro-government "My Step" bloc got more votes than during the early elections in December. Then the "My Step" bloc, headed by the Prime Minister, gained over 70% of the votes of Armenia.
