ArmInfo.Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on March 19 received a delegation led by Olaf Zimelka, Regional Director of the German Development Bank (KfW). According to the press service of the RA government, Nikol Pashinyan stressed the importance of the continued development of cooperation between Armenia and Germany and added that recently the bilateral relations have risen to a new level.
The head of government stressed that within a few months, high-level mutual visits took place between the two states, which would give a new impetus to Armenian-German friendly relations.According to Nikol Pashinyan, cooperation between the government of Armenia and KfW occupies an important place in these relations. Noting the importance of joint programs for Armenia, the Prime Minister considered it necessary to discuss and implement new programs with KfW, which are of strategic importance for Armenia.Representatives of the German side stressed that their country is ready to support the Armenian government on the way to implement reforms. Olaf Zimilka noted that in a regional context, Armenia is in a favorable position, and the country has unique opportunities for development at a rapid pace.
KfW Regional Director, referring to ongoing projects with Armenia in various fields, in particular, welcomed the fact that the Government of the Republic of Armenia attaches great importance to the field of ecology. He expressed confidence that joint programs in this area will contribute to the continued development of the sphere.Then, the interlocutors touched upon a number of issues related to joint projects in the field of agriculture, construction, energy, construction of reservoirs, infrastructures and the implementation of new programs.
