ArmInfo.The World Bank predicts in Armenia the ratio of budget revenues to GDP at the level of 24.3% in 2019, with an increase in 2020 to 25.2%. And in terms of budget expenditures / GDP, the WB expects an increase in the level of 2019-2020 from 26.5% to 27.2%.
As a result, the WB at the level of 2.2% in 2019 projects the ratio of the state budget deficit to GDP with a decrease to 2% in 2020. This forecast is given in the WB economic report " Armenia. A strong mandate for change amid a global slowdown. Winter 2019>", published on March 20. The assessment for 2018 by the WB provided for the level of the state budget deficit to GDP of Armenia at 1.9%, budget revenues / GDP - 23.8%, budget expenditures / GDP -25.4%. But according to the actual data of the results of 2018, the ratio of the state budget deficit / GDP was 1.8%, budget revenues / GDP - 22.3%, budget expenditures / GDP - 24.1%, against 4.8%, 22.9% and 27, 7%, respectively, in 2017.
According to the RA Statistical Committee, in January-December 2018, the budget deficit of Armenia amounted to 105.4 billion drams ($ 218.2 million), having decreased by 60.5% in y-o-y terms, against a meager 4% decline in 2017. The revenues of the Armenian budget accelerated y-o-y growth rates from 5.6% to 8.4%, while expenses reversed from a 3.8% decline, reaching 1340.9 billion and 1446.3 billion drams respectively ($ 2.8 billion and $ 2.99 billion respectively )
