ArmInfo. The State Revenue Committee of Armenia calls on the owners of right-hand drive cars that have accumulated in the customs zone of the Bagratashen checkpoint to carry out customs procedures and remove vehicles from the customs zone. This is stated by the press service of the SRC.
The message reminds that since March 19, amendments to the law "On the ban on the import of right-hand drive cars" came into force, which provided the opportunity until May 1 of this year to freely import into the territory of Armenia cars purchased before December 31, 2018. SRC calls upon the owners of these vehicles to independently withdraw them from the customs zone by March 29, since they impede the normal operation of the customs services. Otherwise, these vehicles will be transferred to the temporary territory of the customs zone, for which, according to the law "On Customs Regulation", the customs duty will be levied.
To note, earlier the Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of the Republic of Armenia Hakob Arshakyan reported about 1 thousand units of right-hand drive cars in the customs zone of the Bagratashen checkpoint.
