The businessman noted that the Armenian cuisine is not inferior to the Chinese, French, Italian, etc. Moreover, in this context D. Yeremyan noted that Armenia has advantages in terms of the availability of natural agricultural products that cannot be found in other countries.
Despite the dynamic development of the sector, the expert highlighted a number of problems in the restaurant business of the country that need urgent solutions. Continuing what was said, D. Yeremyan noted that today restaurants have a task in the proper organization of work with state structures. "We must position ourselves not only as taxpayers and entrepreneurs, but those who have a significant contribution to the development of the country, tourism, winemaking, agriculture, including from the point of view of investment," said the businessman. However, he noted that today there is some progress in terms of dialogue with the government. <Our voice is heard today, and we are pleased with the government's policy. Our option is accepted - inflation of at least 4% (with a target threshold of 4% with a range of fluctuations +/- 1.5 - Ed. nte), Which means that the field will not restrain inflation>.
He also stressed that there are certain problems with positioning on the international platform. <We are not often at various international events, although we need to be there and properly represent our cuisine. And why not, such culinary events are held in Armenia, so that famous chefs and restaurateurs from other countries will get to know our country and the specialties of the national cuisine. This should be the obligation of our Association. Step by step we have to reach this goal, "he said.
As another key problem, he called the improvement of the image of cooks and attendants. According to one of the leading businessmen of the country, today it is necessary to work on the development and improvement of the quality of service. <The service personnel should not be considered as exclusively those who bring and carry your order. In addition, D. Yeremyan noted the need to expand the restaurant and hotel business in the regions of the country, indicating their focus in the capital. "We should develop all interesting concepts of restaurants and hotels outside of Yerevan," the businessman insisted. In conclusion, he stressed: "None of us has the right to let a client go unhappy, because this is equivalent to the fact that a tourist is dissatisfied with our city, which means with our country. We must be extremely consistent in this matter.
