ArmInfo. The energy complex of Armenia should be balanced. This was announced on March 28 at the plenary session of the Armenian government by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, responding to a question from the RA National Assembly mp MP m the Bright Armenia faction Gurgen Baghdasaryan.
The lawmaker asked the prime minister about the projects in the field of solar energy, and in particular, tariff rates, which under the previous government were reduced from 42 drams to 23.6 drams per 1 kW / h of electricity generated from solar generation facilities. This fact, according to the MP, may scare away potential investors. Gurgen Baghdasaryan also urged to step up work "in the direction of ensuring the victory of the sun over Gazprom."
However, according to Nikol Pashinyan, Gazprom Armenia is an Armenian company that is registered in Armenia, carries out its activities in our country and pays taxes. According to the Prime Minister, one source should not be opposed to the other, it is important to find a balance of interests. "Gas is a very important resource, and it is impossible to refuse it," said Nikol Pashinyan. He also stated that in the field of alternative and renewable energy, including solar energy, there is activation. In the process of implementation are several large investment programs. It is also important to provide non-gasified villages with solar energy and heat sources. As for tariffs, then, as the Prime Minister stressed, this issue requires elaboration.
It should be noted that as part of the government program for the construction of solar photovoltaic stations, the roadmap for the development of the field has been drawn up. Within the framework of the program, a feasibility study was prepared for the construction of 6 solar stations in various regions of Armenia. In particular, one project concerns the construction of the Masrik-1 station in the Masrik community of the Gegharkunik region of Armenia. An international tender for the selection of the project investor was announced in April 2017, about 7 dozens of companies submitted a preliminary application for participation in it, 20 companies submitted an application for participation in the prequalification stage, 10 - overcame it. Already 5 of them submitted a final application for the project. According to the results of the international tender, the right to build a 55-megawatt Masrik-1 industrial power plant in Armenia was won by an international consortium consisting of globally recognized companies - Dutch Fotowatio Renewable Ventures BV and Spanish FSL Solar SL, which offered the lowest tariff from the future object of solar generation - $ 0.0419 electricity without VAT or 20.11 drams for 1 kW / h of electricity. Earlier ArmInfo reported that the total cost of the program of building solar power plants in Armenia is $ 129 million.
