ArmInfo.The Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) and the Union of Information Technology Enterprises without competitive procedures will receive, in the form of grants, 19.8 million drams and 15 million drams, respectively. The decision was taken at the March 29 meeting of the RA government.
Presenting the draft decision, Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of the Republic of Armenia Hakob Arshakyan stressed that the allocated funds will be directed to the implementation of projects in three main areas - assistance to the Armenian-Indian Center of Excellence, Gyumri and Vanadzor technoparks, as well as to hold the World Congress of Information technologies. The minister recalled that the Enterprise Incubator Foundation was granted the right to manage the technology parks and the Armenian-Indian Center of Excellence for a period of 20 years. The current government decision, as noted by Hakob Arshakyan, is aimed at ensuring the uninterrupted operation of these facilities, since tenders will require at least two or three months. In order to eliminate possible problems, it was proposed to finance the work of the centers without competitive procedures.
At the same time, he stressed the need for an in-depth analysis of the situation in order to make a software decision. This issue will be created by the Ministry of High Technology Industry. The minister promised to complete all studies towards the end of the year and to submit a new policy document to the government at the end of October.
