ArmInfo. In the first quarter of 2019, 26.4 billion drams were sent to business entities from the state budget, which is 7.4 billion drams more than the previous year. Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan wrote about this on his Facebook page, commenting on his working meeting with Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia David Ananyan.
According to the Prime Minister, in January-March of the current year tax charges of 11.4 billion drams surpassed the results of the first three months of 2018.
"Pay attention to the fact that the volume of financial resources of the Reserve Fund for the whole year is 9.4 billion drams. That is, in the first quarter we have 2 billion more collected funds than in the Reserve Fund," Nikol Pashinyan wrote. He also stated that in March 2019 compared to March 2018, 8 million 361 thousand 119 more checks were printed. In the first quarter of this year, as compared with the first quarter of the previous year, there were a total of 20 million 710 thousand 114 checks more printed.
In the first quarter of 2019, the SRC considered 506 complaints, of which 288 were resolved (during the same period last year, 152 complaints were reviewed, 78 of which were resolved). "This statistic not only indicates an increase in mutual trust between tax authorities and the business environment, but also significantly relieves the judicial system," the head of government said.
Earlier, speaking in the parliament, Nikol Pashinyan said that according to the government's calculations, in 2019, the targets for the state budget revenues in Armenia will be exceeded by at least 40 billion drams ($ 90 million). According to him, the achieved result for the last 3 months is unprecedented. In the past, there was no such that the state budget was exceeded to such an extent. This was achieved thanks to the active struggle of the State Revenue Committee against the shadow economy, and in this struggle repressive measures are not used.
Basically, research, analysis and negotiation methods are used. Another factor contributing to the growth of tax revenues was the cooperation of citizens with government agencies. According to Nikol Pashinyan, the citizens of the country actively respond to the appeals of the government, which are aimed at combating the shadow economy. From May 2018 to the present day 65 million checks have been printed, indicating the transactions carried out. "It speaks about the interaction of citizens with the government of the country," stated the Prime Minister. According to the approved budget for 2019, in terms of economic growth at 4.9%, the consolidated budget for revenues is estimated at 1.533.6 billion drams instead of 1.343.5 billion drams in 2018, and for expenses - 1.685.2 billion drams against 1,500.5 billion drams. The deficit will be 151.6 billion drams or 2.2% of GDP.
