ArmInfo. Since Armenia is a country that has an active IT business, not only inside but also outside the country - at international sites, it vividly adopts the best international experience. Such an opinion was expressed during a press conference dedicated to the IT Summit held in Yerevan on April 4-5 with the participation of world IT industry leaders, Nikolay Komlev, executive director of the Information & Computer Technologies Industry Association (APKIT).
To note, the IT Summit is being held in Armenia for the second time. It was first held in 2015. The event will bring together companies from different cities of Russia, including from Kazan - one of the centers of computer design in the Soviet Union.
When asked why Armenia was again chosen to host the summit, Komlev noted the importance of holding such conferences in places "not only beautiful, but where you can draw something, recharge, exchange experience", since Armenia has its own IT -school.
"In addition, it is important that the leadership of the republic is set to support the development of information technology. If there is support somewhere, we can also say to our government - look here in Armenia there are such privileges, such a form of support, technology parks and so on. Such experience is very important, we need to learn and copy from each other, because the heads and managers always need to be prompted, advised what is in the interests of business, in the interests of development, "said Komlev. In this regard, as the Russian expert said, it is necessary to focus on the possibilities of creating joint projects that will go tomorrow to the big world, where there is a lot of money, "Komlev explained.
In turn, head of the "Jurisdiction Armenia" foundation, Ashot Aslanyan, noted that the foundation is concentrating on making Armenia an "attractive jurisdiction".
According to him, one of the main factors of attractiveness of the country is the development of the education system. <4 years have passed since the first IT summit in Yerevan. During this time, many Russian schools came to Armenia and adopted our experience. In addition, over the years there have been five times more projects in Armenia, such as Tumo, Gazprom School, Chinese School and Armat. Dissemination of experience and values throughout the republic is a good example for other countries, " Aslanyan said.
According to him, Armenia has repeatedly been seen as a country in which companies started with outsourcing and then successfully moved into the grocery area.
