ArmInfo.Dram was devalued against the dollar in March 2019 by March 2018 by 1.5% against the background of growth in consumer prices by 1.9%. According to the National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia, in March 2019 the average settlement rate was 487.4 AMD / $ 1, against 480.4 AMD / $ 1 in March 2018 and 484.8 AMD / $ 1 - in March 2017.
In Q1 2019, the devaluation of the dram against the dollar by 0.6% was observed against the background of inflation by 2.6% in consumer prices. In March 2019, the dram strengthened against the dollar by 0.2%, while inflation was consumed by 0.1%. A year earlier, in March 2018, by March 2017, there was also a revaluation of the dram against the dollar by 0.9% against the background of a rise in consumer prices by 3.7%. In the Q1of 2018, amid inflation of 2.5%, the dram strengthened against the dollar by 0.6%. In March 2018 alone, a 0.1% consumer price inflation was accompanied by a 0.2% revaluation of the dram against the dollar. To note, in the Armenian retail currency market, the dram against the dollar strengthened by April 5, 2019 to 487.75 AMD / $ 1 on average, against 484.0 AMD/ $ 1 on December 28, 2018 and 480.5 AMD / $ 1 on April 5, 2018.
