ArmInfo.Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a working meeting with the participation of ministers, heads of state departments, the mayor of Yerevan, representatives of the Central Bank and the Prime Minister's office.
According to the press service of the Prime Minister, during the meeting they discussed the implementation of the instructions of the head of government, given at a meeting of the Armenian Cabinet of Ministers on February 15. The orders concerned activities that stimulate the economic revolution. The leaders of the departments and structures presented the implemented works, intermediate results and plans for the future. The Prime Minister stressed that the goal of the government is to encourage a hardworking, creative and law-abiding citizen, and the executive branch should work in this direction as quickly as possible, easily and efficiently as part of its tools. In the context of increasing the effectiveness of the measures implemented and the successful implementation of the economic revolution, Pashinyan stressed the importance of digitizing processes, establishing clear procedures and instructed those responsible to take action-oriented steps in these areas. The head of government instructed to continue inter-agency coordinated work and periodically report on progress.
To recall, on February 15, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the meeting of the government called the top priorities of the economic revolution and gave the first instructions. He presented several directions and instructions, guided by which the government and ministries should work, emphasizing that the list is not given in priority of activities, since they will be held in parallel. Thus, the prime minister instructed: to review all the investment proposals submitted to this day, to inventory their progress, to identify problems with their implementation, to concentrate data on them in the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments; create a regulatory roadmap, including to address the projected availability of gas and water supply, electricity, to accelerate the creation of the Armenian Investment Fund, which will support investment programs. The Prime Minister also instructed to develop a mechanism in connection with the opening of the period of seasonal work, so that when applying for temporary seasonal work, citizens would not be deprived of family or social benefits. It was instructed to take into account all vacancies in the country with salaries, demands and addresses of companies, to identify individuals who pay interest on loans of 100 thousand drams or more monthly, and at the same time receive family and social benefits; start active creation of training centers for conversion and provide personnel retraining services in accordance with the requirements of the labor market.
The head of government noted the importance of developing strategies to reduce bank rates, effective mechanisms for lending to microbusiness and livestock. Efforts should be directed, among other things, to the revitalization and development of training centers and projects that are aimed at teaching business skills and consistently improving financial literacy, for this it is necessary to conduct negotiations and implement joint programs with the Public TV channel and other television companies, and introduce financial education in schools. It is also necessary to intensify the involvement of the private sector in the reanimation, creation and development of secondary special educational institutions. In the field of agriculture - it is necessary to improve the efficiency of budget programs for drip irrigation, anti-hail nets and the introduction of new agricultural technologies, to achieve their full implementation and create the prerequisites for their expansion; make an inventory of all projects for the construction of reservoirs and road construction, initiate new projects, in parallel with negotiations with possible donor organizations; find out the mechanisms of export of meat and live stock of small ruminants and promote their production; prepare for the export season of fruit and vegetable crops, make sure that the existing mechanisms are productive and create guarantees of market accessibility for new potential exporters.
