ArmInfo.. PharmaTech JSC will be exempted from paying customs duties on imported raw materials and equipment in Armenia. The decision was made at the April 18 sitting of the RA government.
According to Minister of Economic Development and Investments of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Khachatryan, the company intends to invest 4.2 billion drams in the modernization of production, which will be used to purchase raw materials and equipment. According to the Minister, PharmaTech JSC has been operating in Yerevan since 1997 and is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies. Raw materials will be used for the production of intravenous infusion fluids, ampoules, eye drops. According to the minister, 69 employees work in the company today, and thanks to investments, the number of jobs will increase by 6-10 with an average salary of 160 thousand drams. At the same time, he said that the investment program will allow for the production of 4.8 billion drams, of which 2.8 billion drams will be sold in Armenia and the rest exported to third countries.
