ArmInfo. On April 23, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received the Regional Manager of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for the South Caucasus, Jan van Bilsen.
At the beginning of the meeting, the interlocutors touched upon the results of Mger Grigoryan's visit to the USA, where he took part in the spring conference of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, after which the logic of the development programs of Armenia implemented by IFC was discussed.The Vice Premier stressed that the RA government has developed numerous reform programs, the participation of IFC in which will be of great benefit, especially in such issues as the development of the capital market and increasing the publicity of business.
The manager of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for the South Caucasus, Jan van Bilsen, highlighted the areas of finance, energy, health and tourism as priority areas for cooperation with Armenia. The interlocutors noted the importance of digitalization in the financial sector and reduction of cash circulation, which will also contribute to improving the business environment. In the health sector, the parties stressed the importance of disease prevention. Mher Grigoryan and Jan Van Bilsen also exchanged views on the possibilities of implementing regional tourism programs.
