ArmInfo. As a result of the application of new technologies, it was possible to obtain synthetic petroleum products from coal obtained as a result of the development of the Karabakh deposit Magavuz. According to Artsakhpress, the head of the Department of Chemical, Biological and Ecological Technologies of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia Gagik Torosyan said this at the presentation of the development with the participation of the President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan.
According to him, the volumes obtained correspond to scientifically established standards. In particular, 50% of diesel fuel, 30% of gasoline and 20% of bitumen are obtained from a mass of about 12%. "The results were also presented at the international conference and were highly appreciated, because, unlike the common practice, we used new technology to extract oil from coal using air pressure instead of water. In the future, we can consider another option, that is, we can subject coal gas pressure.
Today in the world it is a recognized method that requires some research work, "said Gagik Torosyan. According to the head of the research group, if the second stage of the mine is developed, which will take 3-4 months, it will be possible to clearly determine the reserves of Magawuz coal, since this is probably more than the results of the Soviet period - 4 million tons.It should be noted that the production of synthetic oil from coal has recently become widespread. Not so long ago, the production of synthetic oil from a mixture of 50% coal with high pressure water with cavitation mechanical and electromagnetic treatment was successfully tested in Krasnoyarsk.
In this case, instead of pure water, you can use waste and polluted water. The technology allows for the complete processing of coal (both brown and stone), which includes the production of a water-coal slurry with its further processing into synthetic oil. The use of which, as heating oil, does not require a significant modernization of the boiler. Also, this technology is used for the extraction of non-ferrous metals from the dumps of enterprises. The equipment has no rotating, rubbing and shock mechanical parts, as a result of which, there is no abrasive wear of the grinding equipment. At the exit, we get fuel with dispersion of 1-5 microns (a drop of fuel oil when spraying the nozzle has 5-10 microns) according to its characteristics close to oil.
