ArmInfo. The fight against corruption is of paramount importance for the government of Armenia, and in this context the institute of informants occupies a significant place. This was announced on May 21 during the event "On the unified electronic platform of informants" by Suren Krmoyan, Deputy of Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Avinyan.
He noted that the institute of informers was founded in 2017, however, as the development of information technology, the system has become much more efficient. "Electronization of this system gives us the opportunity to fully protect the rights of informants, their signals today are completely anonymous. We hope that complete anonymity will increase the signals, and we can more effectively deal with this phenomenon," concluded Kromoyan.
In turn, the Minister of Justice Artak Zeynalyan noted that government representatives are clearly aware of the danger of corruption for the state, as it slows down the development of key areas. "Recently, there has been a large-scale growth in the fight against corruption in Armenia. Many high-profile corruption crimes have been revealed. However, recently we have the opportunity to reach a qualitatively new level. It is not a secret for anyone that the institute of informants plays a big role in this corruption fight. With their signals, these people help us expose officials and more than those who are mired in corruption crimes, "the minister noted.
He stressed that before the very existence of this institution caused people to distrust, and some were afraid to report corruption crimes, as this could cause a negative attitude towards them. "However, a single electronic platform has now appeared, which is completely anonymous. This is a very important fact. I am sure that in the near future we will achieve more significant results in this area with the help of our citizens. I am sure that every Armenian citizen is personally interested in eradicating this vicious phenomenon, " Zeynalyan concluded.
