Following the results of the first quarter of 2019, the list of the largest taxpayers in Armenia continues to be headed by Gazprom Armenia, paying 13.5 billion drams to the state treasury with an annual decline of 3% (including the TOP-5 of the same period last year), of which 39.3 million drams duties, 2 billion drams (including income tax, income tax) - on direct taxes, 11.5 billion drams - on indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax).
According to the published data of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia, the five leaders paid a total of taxes to the state budget.
41.9 billion drams or $ 86.2 million (with an annual growth of 25.8%), of which 10.9 billion - on direct taxes (including income tax, income tax) and 25.8 billion drams - on indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax).
The second place, as in the previous year, was preserved for the Armenian-Canadian joint venture Grand Tobacco, which paid 12.8 billion drams to the state treasury (with an annual growth of 59%), of which 704 million drams were customs duties, 1.7 billion drams - on direct taxes (including income tax, income tax), 11 billion drams - on indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax).
The third place, as in the previous year, was taken by Zangezur Molybdenum Combine CJSC, paying 6.7 billion drams to the state budget (with an annual growth of 62.9%), of which 384.1 million drams in customs duties, 3.7 billion drams to direct taxes (including income tax, income tax), 421.7 million drams - on indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax).
Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC advanced into fourth place from last year's 6th, paying 4.5 billion drams to the state treasury (with an annual growth of 74.9%), of which 1.9 billion drams were from direct taxes (incl. income tax, income tax), 2.5 billion drams - on indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax). Closes the top five leaders Geopromaining, a year earlier, occupies the 8th position. During the reporting period, the company paid taxes to the state treasury 4.3 billion drams (with an annual growth of 72.2%), of which for customs duties - 341.5 million drams, for direct taxes - 1.6 billion drams, and for indirect taxes - 430.2 million drams.
After them, in the top ten are the International Masis Tobacco (6th position, against 12th a year earlier), CP Oil Oil Corporation (7th position, against 4th year before), the oil trader <Flash> (8th position, against the 7th year before), Aquilon Trade (9th position, against 101 a year earlier) and International Airports of Armenia (10th position, against the 17th year before).
It should be noted that following the results of Q1 2018, TOP-5 included Gazprom Armenia CJSC (holding the championship since 2012), Grand Tobacco JV, Zangezur Molybdenum Combine, CPI Oil Corporation and Alex Holding. In total, they transferred to the budget 33.3 billion, of which 5.5 billion - on direct taxes (including income tax, income tax) and 24.8 billion drams - on indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax).
