ArmInfo.On May 24, Vice Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan received the representative of the British Prime Minister for Trade and Investment in Armenia, MP Mark Pritchard. British Ambassador Judith Farnworth also took part in the meeting.
According to the government's press service, Avinyan noted the presence of potential in the development of Armenian-British relations in the trade and economic sphere. He noted that the improvement of the investment environment in Armenia, as well as relations with large integration associations, create good opportunities for expanding the volume of investments from the UK.
In turn, Mark Pritchard presented the work carried out in order to deepen economic contacts between Armenia and the UK. The interlocutors discussed the possibility of cooperation between the countries in the context of reforms carried out in the field of increasing the efficiency of public administration. At Pritchard's request, the Deputy Prime Minister presented the steps being taken by the government towards ensuring inclusive economic growth.
During the meeting, the parties also turned to creating the necessary conditions for cooperation in the field of information technology, the connection between education and the labor market, government services and other areas.
