ArmInfo. At the very least the concept of development is necessary for realizing the economic revolution in Armenia. Secretary of the "Citizen's Decision" Party Suren Sahakyan expressed such opinion to ArmInfo.
"In the absence of such a concept, one can only assume, what the economic revolution announced by the authorities means and implies. I also assume that the revolution is the replacement of the former unjust system with a fair one. Meanwhile, all decisions taken now in the economy are situational. My view is on the proclaimed economic priorities: IT, tourism and agriculture all this will not get us very far ", Sahakyan said. In his opinion, the realization of the economic revolution implies a complete change of the political system, which will give the country predictability, will contribute to the formation of positive expectations. To the same end, it is necessary to create a free and fair judicial system. Sahakyan is deeply convinced that it is impossible to develop the same sphere of information technologies in the absence of high-quality education, normal conditions of medical care, social protection of citizens, and the development of competitive industrial sectors. In other words, economic development requires an integrated approach; otherwise the situation will not budge.
"The absence of a concept of economic development is a deep and huge topic of a separate conversation. In short, we can only note that the prospects for the implementation of the economic revolution planned by the government in the absence of the concept of economic development are zero. In the end, Armenia's economic policies continue to be determined by the same cadres as in the past. Meanwhile, if they were able to create something good, they would have done it a long since, " Sahakyan summed up.
