ArmInfo. From July 9, the airline "Armenia" will begin to carry out regular flights on the route Yerevan-Moscow-Yerevan and Moscow-Yerevan-Tbilisi-Yerevan-Moscow. Deputy Director General of Air Company of Armenia Gevorg Khachatryan said this on his Facebook page. According to Khachatryan, the flights will be carried out twice a day. He promised to share more detailed information later.
It should be noted that the founders of Armenia Airlines are Ashot Torosyan (51% of shares), Tamaz Gaiashvili (25%) and Robert Hovhannisyan (24%). Tamaz Gaiashvili is the founder of the Georgian airline "Airzena" and the former chairman of the company's Board of Directors, and Robert Oganesyan is his former deputy.
Thus, the Armenian side will noticeably be able to compensate for the "freezing" of air links between Georgia and Russia. After all, it was from July 8, as reported by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, that Russian air carriers suspend flights to Georgia.
