ArmInfo. An additional 105 million drams will be allocated to the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia. The decision was made at the July 18 meeting of the RA government.
Presenting the draft decision, Minister of Economy Tigran Khachatryan stressed that the additional funding was the result of over-fulfillment of the revenue part of the state budget of the country. The additional funds, as the minister noted, will be directed to the development of infrastructures and increasing the awareness of Armenia in the international tourist market. In order to increase the recognition of Armenia, an additional 90 million drams will be used to implement marketing activities in selected target markets. In particular, it is proposed to carry out large-scale marketing campaigns in the three main target markets of Russia, Georgia and China. In the Russian Federation, it is planned to organize an advertising campaign under the slogan "Armenia! It is so accessible." The campaign will be held at airports, Russian airlines, Moscow Subway, networks of famous Russian cinemas and other visited places.
In Georgia, it is planned to organize a marketing campaign under the slogan "Armenia is your next destination" in famous tourist places and tourist infrastructures.
As for China, it is planned to hold an advertising campaign under the motto "Armenia: emotions are now without a visa." The campaign in the PRC will be conducted using the Chinese online platform WeChat, Chinese airlines and a number of other popular platforms.
