ArmInfo. In the first 7 months of 2019, in comparison with the same period last year, 65 million 633 thousand more bill of sale of cash registers were issued. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.
In particular, he noted that the issuance of additional bills by cash registers provided additional trade turnover in the country in the amount of more than 170 billion drams.
Meanwhile, at the end of July, in an interview with reporters, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of the RA David Ananyan said that SRC is not able to provide everyone with new cash registers. At the same time, those who do not have them, but they carry out activities requiring apparatus, are fined. According to the chief tax official, the agency was inclined to provide demand for all those business entities to which the law obligatorily obligated their availability. But, realizing that the tax and customs committee is not able to meet the demand of all applicants, and there are currently about 9-10 thousand of them, a week earlier the agency issued a statement that the Office for the Implementation of Cash Register Control Centers could provide new cash registers only to taxpayers engaged in actual activities in border villages and free of charge.
To note, the use of the new generation of spacecraft has become mandatory since January 1, 2019. Earlier, the Armenian government has repeatedly extended the terms for their implementation - initially until January 1, 2016, and then - until the beginning of 2017 and 2018. In February 2019, the government announced that it would subsidize the difference between the cost of new cash registers equal to 158 thousand drams and its selling price of 60 thousand drams, spending about $ 5 million for these purposes. This, as announced, concerned 25 thousand tax agents, for whom the availability of new generation cash registers became mandatory as of January 1, 2019 and which, due to lack of funds, cannot afford it. Already on May 10, the head of the SRC announced that due to the lack of a new generation of cash registers, they will be given in order of priority to those taxpayers who have just registered and do not have cash registers at all.
