Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated this at a meeting of the EAEU Intergovernmental Council, the words of which are quoted by TASS. "If the negotiation process is completed in a timely manner and the draft agreement is agreed, the Prime Minister of Singapore is ready to take part in the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Yerevan, at which this agreement will be signed," he said. Pashinyan added that this meeting will be held on October 1 in Yerevan. According to him, to achieve this result, it is necessary to accelerate the preparation and approval of the contract.
The Armenian Prime Minister also said that the Transit Potential of the Eurasian Continent forum will be held in Yerevan from September 30 to October 1, to which the heads of state of all five countries and EAEU partner countries are invited. In turn, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev called for speeding up the preparation of agreements on free trade zones between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Serbia, as well as Singapore.
Speaking at a meeting of the EAEU Intergovernmental Council, the head of the Russian government noted that it was necessary to further strengthen the cooperation of this association with its CIS neighbors and other countries. "The negotiations on free trade are successfully underway with Singapore, Israel, Egypt, and an interim agreement on a free trade zone with Iran, an agreement on trade and economic cooperation with China will soon be launched. This gives our goods certain advantages in the markets of these countries," Medvedev said. He emphasized that the EAEU is also striving to expand the number of its foreign partners, including through regional organizations such as ASEAN. "We strongly support such activities. I think that it is necessary to expedite the procedures that are necessary to sign agreements on a free trade zone with Serbia and Singapore," the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation emphasized.
