ArmInfo. The countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) have begun discussing the creation of a regime of supranational companies, but they may appear no earlier than in 2021-2022.
Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Oreshkin following a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, told journalists, TASS reports. "This is a new mechanism that does not yet exist, it requires a very detailed study. We will work to bring as close as possible the issue of creating such supranational companies. They can be in completely different fields, but this will be possible no earlier than 2021-2022," Oreshkin said. The heads of government of the EAEU countries today at an intergovernmental council discussed the issue of creating a regime of supranational companies.
According to Oreshkin, the EAEU countries have analyzed the relevant experience of the European Union. So far, the specific areas in which these companies can be created are not defined, but they can arise in any field - manufacturing, trade and services. "First of all, this will concern those companies that do not work in local markets, but that work directly in the market of all five or most countries. In this case, obtaining such a status will create more comfortable conditions in all these markets, within the framework of a single legal entity, " Oreshkin said.
