During the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council the Ministers of Economy of Armenia Tigran Khachatryan and Kyrgyzstan Sanjar Mukanbetov signed an intergovernmental agreement "On the elimination of double taxation and prevention of tax evasion". This is stated in the official message of the department.
The agreement will resolve tax issues arising in trade and economic relations between states, as well as provide an opportunity to stimulate mutual investment, intensify trade and economic relations, including expanding the movement of labor and technology.
According to the source, on August 9, a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council started in Cholpon-Ata (Kyrgyzstan), in which Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Khachatryan participated. According to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, in the first half of 2019, the trade turnover between Armenia and Kyrgyzstan amounted to $ 1.4 million, with y-o-y growth of 3.4-fold. In particular, exports increased 4.3-fold to $ 1.4 million, and import decreased by 54.4% to $ 49.5 thousand. For the whole of 2018 foreign trade turnover between Armenia and Kyrgyzstan decreased by 31.4% to $ 1.2 million, namely, the decline in exports by 45% to $ 970.5 thousand was accompanied by an increase in imports 3.4-fold to $ 300.2 thousand.
