ArmInfo. The damage caused to the state as a result of the activities of "Spayka" LLC, today, as a result of recalculations, is 10 billion drams, including fines and penalties It is not final result. Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia Edward Hovhannisyan stated this on August 13 at a meeting with reporters.
According to him, the investigation in the case of tax evasion and customs duties on an especially large scale by Spayka continues. "The preliminary investigation into the case, taking into account its volume and the importance of the company in the field of agriculture, continues. Measures are being taken to clarify the extent of damage caused to the state as a result of the company's activities," Hovhannisyan said. At present, as the deputy head of SRC noted, "Spayka" has recovered damage in the amount of 1 billion drams.
On April 4 of this year the State Revenue Committee of Armenia accused "Spayka" director David Ghazaryan of evading taxes and customs duties on a particularly large scale - AMD 7.036.666.312 (more than $ 14.4 million). As the head of SRC David Ananyan explained on April 11, the sum of 7 billion presented for "Spayka" payment relates to the calculations for 2015. "At present, the SRC is working on obtaining documents for the remaining 2.5 years, after which an updated calculation will be provided." That is, today our calculation relates to the 30% period of time to be studied, "explained the head of the SRC. In early May, David Ghazaryan transferred AMD 1 billion (over $ 2 million) to a single account and was released from custody.
On July 25, head of the Committee, David Ananyan, declining to give a specific figure, told reporters that the tax debt of "Spayka" LLC today exceeds the previously announced figure of 7 billion drams. The State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia, according to its chairman, makes the calculation more accurate on a daily basis and based on recent data. "It is no longer 7, and not 8 billion drams," he said. So, according to Ananyan, the SRC continues to receive information regarding "Spayka" LLC both from partner countries and its structures. Simply, as the head of the department pointed out, at this stage, taking into account the interests of the agricultural season, the tax authorities decided to give a separate criminal legal assessment of the current activities of the company and the actions committed by "Spayka"earlier. "But checks continue, as we continue to periodically receive new data that are processed and based on them we make new calculations," Ananyan said. At the same time, according to the chief tax official, there will be no concessions with respect to "Spayka". "Otherwise, it will mean that we are acting against the law, for which we are not ready," he explained.
