ArmInfo. The concept of cross-border information interaction of the EAEU was approved. This was reported by the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
According to the source, in August 2019, the EAEU intergovernmental council at the level of Prime Ministers (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia) in Kyrgyzstan approved the concept of cross-border information interaction, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) reported. The EAEU agreed on common approaches to the implementation of electronic interaction between business and government bodies. It is assumed that the implementation of the concept will enable entities from EAEU countries to interact with each other electronically using an electronic digital signature. This applies to cross-border cooperation between business and government agencies, as well as with partners in Eurasian integration.
The use of common approaches should simplify the interaction of participants and strengthen the communication component between them, calculate the parties that approved the concept. The next steps after the approval of the document should be the adoption of regulations to implement this concept in order to determine the necessary regulation.
Requirements for infrastructure entities, operators providing such services, and other rules should be developed and approved by the EAEU countries by May 2020, TAdviser told the EEC. The EEC notes that electronic information interaction is the main element of the Eurasian cross-border space of trust.
"The mechanisms recommended by the concept can become an incentive for the development of cross- border business processes within the EAEU and the expansion of opportunities for interstate relations," the Organization notes.
Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia Mikayel Pashayan emphasized that the EAEU's digital agenda creates mechanisms for digital interaction of the B2B, B2G and G2G type in the EAEU space.
