According to the RA Customs Service, the customs value of exported gold increased in the H1 of 2019 by 41.1% - up to $ 116 million.
At the same time, Armenia increased gold imports by 7.7% (against growth by 38.9% a year earlier) to 1,020.4 kg, while the customs value increased by 8.2% to $ 43.6 million. During the reporting period, Armenia exported gold, mainly to Switzerland - 97.1%, and the remaining 2.9% - to Italy. Gold was imported to a dominant degree from the Russian Federation (74.3%) and the UAE (24.2%).
