ArmInfo. In the H1 of 2019, 16.8 thousand tons of aluminum foil were exported from Armenia with a YOY growth of 0.8% (compared to last year's 4.4% growth). At the same time, in monetary terms, foil exports experienced a decline of 9.1% per annum to $ 49.8 million.
According to the RA Customs Service, mainly foil was exported to the USA (33.1%) and Germany (25.5%), as well as to the Netherlands (11.4%), Poland (9.5%), France (7%), Italy (5.8%), Austria (3.4%), Denmark (1.5%), Great Britain (1.2%), Czech Republic (0.7%), Spain (0.4%), and even less to Hungary, Georgia, Russia and Bulgaria.
At the same time, Armenia reduced the volume of imported foil - by 49.1% - to 1.1 thousand tons, against growth by 4.1fold a year earlier. The customs value of imported foil decreased by 40.6%, respectively, to $ 4.5 million. The foil was imported mainly from Greece (87.6%), as well as from Russia (5%), China (4.9%), Ukraine (0, 5%), Italy (0.4%), United Arab Emirates (0.3%), Iran (0.2%), Poland (0.1%).
According to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, in the H1 of 2019, the production of aluminum foil in Armenia decreased by 5.8% compared to the same period last year, to 15,338 tons. For the whole of 2018, the output of aluminum foil decreased by 14.5% per annum - up to 28 359 tons, against a 14.4% growth in 2017.
