At the same time, the dynamics of dollar transactions turned upward in the intra-bank foreign exchange market, and such a change in trend was recorded in ruble transactions, while euro transactions were in decline now in terms of sales. As a result, the dram against the dollar for September 9-13 compared with the previous week started to revaluate- from 476.9 to 476.3 AMD / $ 1, becoming weaker against the euro - from 526 to 527 AMD/ 1EUR, tuning in to devaluation against the ruble as well - from 7.2 to 7.4 AMD / 1RUB. A year earlier, on September 13, 2018, the dram / dollar exchange rate was 485 AMD / $ 1, the euro - 564 AMD / 1 EUR, and the ruble - 7.1 AMD / 1 RUB, which in comparison with current rates indicates the y-o-y revaluation of dram to the dollar and to the euro, and to the devaluation of the ruble.
As the press service of the Central Bank of Armenia told ArmInfo, on September 9-13, foreign exchange interbank transactions were carried out in the amount of $ 5.650 million at an average rate of 476.28 AMD / $ 1 (against 476.52 AMD / $ 1 a week earlier). Having worked daily for the currency interbank during the reporting week, the maximum volume was recorded on Thursday -$ 2 million. At the same time, buying and selling of the dollar in the interbank foreign exchange market unfolded from 12-22.5% decline to 20- 12% growth, the purchase of the euro slowed down the decline from 17% to 12.2%, while the sales trend changed from 31.3% growth to a 6.3% decline. In ruble transactions, the purchase-sale started the trend from 10 - 3.3% decline towards 55.6-57% growth. As a result, $ 100.4 million was bought at an average exchange rate of 475.60 AMD / $ 1, 18.021 million euros at an average rate of 523.32 AMD / 1EUR, and 2.8 billion rubles at an average rate of 7.26 AMD / 1RUB, and sold $ 104.7 million at an average rate of 477.04 AMD/ $ 1, 23.98 million euros at an average rate of 527.65 AMD / 1EUR, and 1.14 billion rubles at an average rate of 7.35 AMD / 1RUB.
According to the source, from September 2 to 7, Armenian banks issued dram loans in the amount of 54.6 billion drams and dollar loans in the amount of $ 34.9 million. Compared to the previous period (from August 26 to 31), dram loans slowed down the decline from 17% to 14%, and dollar ones loans changed the trend from 0.9% growth to a 26.7% decline.
