ArmInfo. Armenia increased the supply of natural gas from Russia in the H1 of 2019 by 8.1% - up to 1 016 109 thousand cubic meters, against a decline of 13.6% a year earlier for the same period. According to the RA Customs Service, in value terms, imports respectively increased by 18.8% to $ 167.7 million.
At the same time, the supply of natural gas from Iran, on the contrary, decreased by 39.5% to 118,031 thousand cubic meters, decreasing in value terms - by 15.8% to $ 26.6 million. In total, 1,134,140 thousand cubic meters natural gas were imported to Armenia in the H1 of 2019. (With a YOY decline of 0.1%), valued at $ 192.3 million (with YOY growth of 12.9%). According to Customs data, during the reporting period, Armenia exported 7,000 cubic meters natural gas to Georgia at $ 2.2 million
According to the source, YOY deliveries of liquefied gas increased by 74.9% (against growth by 93.9% a year earlier) to 9,556.1 tons, with a 2-fold increase in customs value to $ 4.2 million. In particular, import of liquefied gas from Russia increased by 31.6% to 4,598.6 tons, with an increase in value by 30.3% - to $ 1.9 million, and from Iraq - imports shoot up 2.4 fold to 4.777.5 tons, with an increase in value by 3 fold to $ 2.2 million. During the reporting period, Armenia almost 5 fold increased the import of liquefied natural gas from Iran - up to 178 tons worth $ 83.3 thousand.
In 2019, under the new indicative balance, it is planned to supply 183 thousand tons of gasoline to the republic, of which 155 thousand tons are of Russian production. In addition, 191 thousand tons of diesel fuel (155 thousand tons - Russian production), 48.2 thousand tons of jet fuel (10.2 thousand tons of Russian production), as well as 2.2 thousand tons of paraffin (completely Russian production).
