ArmInfo. 444 mln drams will be allocated for overhaul in a number of state colleges of Armenia. The decision was made at a government meeting on October 17. According to the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia Araik Harutyunyan, out of the indicated amount, 140.6 million drams will be allocated for work at the Shirak State College.
A tender has already been announced to identify the program contractor. Another 150.6 million drams will be used in the modernization of Armavir State College, where the necessary equipment is available, but the lack of conditions did not allow them to be applied. With the overhaul, this issue, according to the minister, will be resolved. It's planned to direct 94.2 million drams for the repair of the college in Berd, and 23.9 million drams for the continuation of the construction of the Olympic champion Artur Aleksanyan's children's and youth sports school in Gyumri. In addition, 4, 2 million drams will be used to repair the premises of the National Cinema Center, which, due to poor conditions, was forced to rent other areas. With the remaining funds, it is planned to modernize the school N18 of the city of Vanadzor.
