ArmInfo. In September of this year, the passenger flow at two airports in Armenia amounted to 324,755 people, exceeding the figure for the same month of 2018 by 16.5%.
This was reported by the press service of the International Airports of Armenia company, which provides concession management of the Yerevan Zvartnots airport and the Shyrak Gyumri airport. According to the source, in September 2019, compared with the same period last year, passenger traffic in Zvartnots increased by 18.8%. If in September 2018, 262,816 passengers used the services of the capital's airport, in September 2019 this figure increased to 312,240 passengers.
In September 2019, the passenger flow at the Shirak airport in Gyumri amounted to 12.515 people. The decrease was 21.3% compared to 15 904 passengers in the same month of 2018.
Since the beginning of the year, the passenger flow at two airports in Armenia amounted to 2,396,966 people, which is 11.4% higher than the same period of the previous year.
In January-September 2019, takeoffs and landings by 13.3% were also recorded at Zvartnots and Shirak airports.
