ArmInfo.On October 22, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan received the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Armenia Mohammed Isa Al-Zaabi.
According to the press service of the Ministry, during the meeting the parties discussed the possibilities of creating a favorable business environment in the regions of Armenia and implementing investment programs. Welcoming and congratulating the ambassador on his appointment, the Minister expressed confidence that in the course of his diplomatic activities new prospects for developing partnership between the two countries will be opened.
Speaking about his participation in the 24th World Energy Forum in Abu Dhabi, Suren Papikyan expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and pointed out the unrealized potential of bilateral cooperation in various areas.
In turn, Ambassador Mohammed Isa al-Zaabi emphasized the importance of Armenia-UAE relations for the UAE government and expressed interest and readiness to implement various investment projects in Armenia. According to the ambassador, the possibility of organizing a third direct flight to Abu Dhabi- Yerevan is also being discussed by Emirates Air Arabia.
Suren Papikyan praised the activities of Air Arabia airline in Armenia and noted that the launch of a new flight between the capitals of the two countries will allow talking about a new quality of Armenia-UAE relations.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed areas of cooperation between the two countries. An agreement was reached to discuss joint practical steps during the upcoming meetings on the implementation of existing proposals and programs.
