ArmInfo. In Armenia, the output of aluminum in January- September 2019 compared to the same period in 2018 increased by 3.3% - up to 23,237 tons, against the 7.4% decline a year earlier.
According to the RA Statistical Committee, in September alone, the output of aluminum foil increased by 4.1% to 2,602 tons.
To note, in 2018, the output of aluminum foil decreased by 14.5% per annum (against a 14.4% growth in 2017), amounting to 28 359 tons.
According to the Customs Service of the Republic of Armenia, 16.8 thousand tons of aluminum foil were exported from Armenia in the first half of 2019 with a y-o-y growth of 0.8% (compared to last year's 4.4% growth). At the same time, in monetary terms, foil export experienced a decline of 9.1% per annum to $ 49.8 million. Mostly foil was exported to the USA (33.1%) and Germany (25.5%), as well as to the Netherlands (11.4%), Poland (9.5%), France (7%), Italy (5.8%), Austria (3.4%), Denmark (1.5%), Great Britain (1.2%), Czech Republic (0.7%), Spain (0.4%), and even less to Hungary, Georgia, Russia and Bulgaria.
