ArmInfo. Henceforth, to participate in public procurement, enterprises must provide information on a bank guarantee. This was stated by head of the Procurement Policy Department of the Ministry of Finance of Armenia Sergey Shahnazaryan, noting that henceforth the probability of the participation of random, false-companies in the public procurement process will be equal to zero. According to the representative of the Ministry of Finance, the bank, when issuing a guarantee, checks the solvency of enterprises. If the company does not fulfill its contractual obligations, the state will be able to receive the damage through a bank guarantee.
He emphasized that the new public procurement procedure provides for the efficiency and transparency of processes.
Shahnazaryan recalled that earlier the Prime Minister gave the order to improve the public procurement system, as a result of which to increase the efficiency of procurement.
According to him, the Ministry of Finance has set itself the task of ensuring the high-quality implementation of agreements, therefore since October 31, over 4 days, retraining courses were held for almost 200 employees of state bodies.
"The results of introducing a new procedure for the implementation of public procurement will become tangible as early as next month," he stressed.
