The Prime Minister was also presented with the construction of the city stadium in Goris. The program provides that the stadium will have 4000 seats, and the surrounding areas will be landscaped. The governor of the Syunik region, Unan Poghosyan, reported that in 2019, compared to 2017, the size of subvention programs increased from 450 million drams to 3 billion 900 million drams. Goris Mayor Arush Arushanyan noted that only the community headed by him implements subvention programs worth 1.5 billion drams, the construction sector is growing rapidly in the city, and investment programs are being implemented in the tourism sector. Suren Papikyan, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, said that this year, the regional community's own revenues increased by 2.5 billion drams, which also stimulated the expansion of programs co-financed by the government and communities. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the importance of the quality implementation of all subvention programs and ensuring proper control in this direction. The head of government emphasized that subvention programs are good examples of cooperation between local governments and the government. In 2020, the government plans to allocate 10 billion drams for subvention programs, which means that the pace of construction in the republic will increase. "Construction sites across the country should be expanded," said Nikol Pashinyan. According to the head of government, one of the best incentives for uniform territorial development is subvention programs.
