ArmInfo.In the near future it will be necessary to devote more time time to the formulate and implement of Armenian development strategies . Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this on November 29 at a meeting on the National Security Strategy of the Republic of Armenia.
According to him, today we can state the completion of the transition period, during which serious results were achieved. In particular, over the nine months of this year, it was possible to ensure GDP growth of 7.9%, moreover, we are not talking about economic activity, but about economic growth. Thus, as Nikol Pashinyan continued, after the Velvet revolution, it was possible not only to ensure macroeconomic stability, but also to create conditions for sustained high GDP growth rates.
The problem of positioning foreign policy guidelines in accordance with the strategic goals and objectives of Armenia, including the issue of the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, was also solved.
It was also possible to ensure long-term democratic stability, which is based on the trust of the people. The Prime Minister noted that the transfer of power in 2018 was accompanied by a constitutional transformation. "Today we can state that the transition from a semi-presidential to a parliamentary form of government is an obvious fact," stated the head of government.
He also advocated the development of long-term strategies, for example, for a period of 10 years, so that both public authorities and the public would be aware of the priorities of the country's government. In this context, he emphasized the importance of developing roadmaps for reforming various areas.
