ArmInfo.Armenian President Armen Sargsyan, who is on a working visit to the United Arab Emirates, met in Abu Dhabi with Siemens President and CEO Joe Keser. According to the press service of the head of state, during the meeting the interlocutors discussed the prospects for the implementation of joint projects in the application of modern technologies, artificial intelligence, as well as energy management. It was agreed to establish working groups in the near future to explore opportunities for wider cooperation in these areas.
They also touched upon the implementation of joint programs in the field of education, research and the exchange of experience, and also discussed areas of cooperation within the framework of the ATOM (Advanced Tomorrow) presidential initiative aimed at developing new technologies and science in Armenia.
It should be noted that Siemens currently has a portfolio of orders worth 200 million euros in Armenia. From 1998 to this day, the company has provided supplies of equipment and auxiliary mechanisms in the amount of about 350 million euros. Among the company's beneficiaries is the Charentsavan rolling mill, which produces high-quality fittings. The company's significant contribution to the processing industry is also significant. The enterprises of the companies "Grand Candy", "Jermuk>," Coca-Cola "," Cigaron "and others operate Siemens equipment. The share of the equipment of the company in the mining industry of Armenia is also significant. They are equipped with the Kajaran and Agarak copper molybdenum plants , enterprises of the Geopromining Gold company. The company also fulfills orders for the supply of medical equipment, in particular, computer tomographs, LMR, X-ray machines, etc.
Note that the German concern Siemens works in the field of electrical engineering, electronics, power equipment, transport, medical equipment and lighting, as well as specialized services in various fields of industry, transport and communications.
