ArmInfo. Since the beginning of the year, 75 people have been employed by the Yeghvard Territorial Employment Center, reports the Armenian Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
The report notes that according to the results of the labor fair organized by the employment center in the city of Yeghvard, Kotayk region, 27 employers representing various sectors of the economy participated. They presented about 300 vacant places, of which 280 are existing and 20 are expected.
During the event, the fair participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the situation on the labor market in the Kotayk region, in particular, in the city of Yeghvard, with state employment assistance programs aimed at increasing employment opportunities.
It should be noted that as of November 1, 2019, the number of job seekers in the Kotayk region is 9 thousand people, which is 5.6% less compared to the same period last year. The number of unemployed is 67.3% of the number of job seekers or 6.1 thousand people. This indicator compared to the same period last year decreased by 15.9%. The number of unemployed women is 4.1 thousand people. 23% of young citizens have unemployed status, 2.8% are persons with disabilities, and 35.6% are rural residents. As of November 1, 2019, 2369 people are looking for work in the city of Ehvard, 1388 people are recognized as unemployed.
The ministry noted that in the labor market of Yeghvard there is a great demand for health professionals, teachers, finance and trade workers, employees engaged in informing customers, employees of catering organizations, food sellers and textile workers.
