ArmInfo.According to the forecasts of the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC), in 2020 Armenia will record an increase in electricity production by 8%.
Head of the regulator Garegin Baghramyan stated this at a press conference in Yerevan on December 25.
According to him, in monetary terms, it is expected that next year 485 million kW / h more electricity will be produced than in 2019. The growth will mainly be provided by consumers included in the 110-kilovolt network. It is about large companies. Speaking about the decline in electricity production in the current year, Garegin Baghramyan pointed out the seasonality of this phenomenon, primarily, warm climatic conditions.
It should be noted that according to preliminary data from the National Statistical Committee of Armenia, in January-November 2019, 6.867.1 million kWh of electricity was generated in Armenia with an annual decline of 3.4%.
